How is a person's identity verified with Hoop?
Identity verification is carried out using the DeepID app – which is free and completely digital.
Can foreign nationals also be verified?

Can employees of the same company all work on the same account with Hoop?
Yes, this is possible. All users can be stored in the same Deep organisation.
Do my customers need DeepSign and DeepID? If so, is it free of charge? How long does the onboarding process take?
Yes, customers need DeepSign and DeepID, which are free of charge from the customer’s perspec-tive and can be set up in a matter of minutes.
Where is the data used for identification hosted?
All data is stored and processed in a cloud on servers in Swiss data centres.
When will further change types be added to the Hoop platform?
Further change types will be added on an ongoing basis in the coming year. You as a user will be informed about this.
How will I be informed about the publication in the commercial register?
Hoop monitors the company formations submitted and any changes. You will be informed by Hoop as soon as these have been published.
Can public documents and statutes also be submitted digitally to the commercial register?
Yes, by registering the notary in the Swiss register of notaries (Upreg -> https://www.upreg.ch/web/) , electronic notarisation and submission is possible.
How can signatures be digitally notarised?
The Commercial Register Ordinance provides for so-called self-certification in Art. 21 para. 1 lit. b no. 3 and para. 3 HRegV. By using DeepID and DeepSign, your own signature can be recognised via a qualified signature. This eliminates the need for time-consuming and costly notarisation of the signa-ture or, if abroad, supplementary certification (Apostille).
How is the transfer to the commercial register carried out for a digital company formation?
Once the public documents and statutes have been digitally notarised, Hoop transmits the company formation documents digitally to the commercial register in the relevant canton. All commercial regis-ters in Switzerland in all language regions can be addressed.
Which documents does Hoop create for me?
Hoop prepares all the necessary documents required by the commercial register for the respective case (formation, modification).
Does Hoop draw up the public documents and statutes or do I have to draw them up myself?
Yes, Hoop creates these documents based on the information entered via the platform. A standard template is used for this. From a notarial perspective, a company’s own public documents and stat-utes can also be used.
Does my client still have to physically come to my office to set up a company?
No, all the steps involved in forming a company can be completed digitally and from any location with Hoop.
What if the capital contribution account has already been opened by my client with a financial institu-tion other than YAPEAL?
In this case, the formation of the company can still be carried out with Hoop. It is not necessary to open a capital contribution account with YAPEAL.
How long does it take to set up a company using Hoop, from the time the data is entered to entry in the commercial register?
Setting up a company with Hoop only takes a few hours. However, we have no influence over publi-cation by the respective cantonal commercial registry office.
How long does it take to onboard a law firm, notary or trust company on the Hoop platform?
Onboarding is completed within a few minutes. We advise and support you based on your individual start position.
Are there any ongoing costs for me when using Hoop?
No, Hoop can be used without ongoing or initial costs. Our fee is always calculated on a per-case basis.
